The Labyrinth of the Traveller / Site-specific project // 2015

One kilometre labyrinth without walls.

Time to reach the center following the paths: 5 hours.

Location: Terschelling, 8897 Oosterend, Netherlands. 53,43;5,52

The Labyrinth shape is derived from the Renaissance labyrinths. The dimensions are multiplied by four. A path substitutes the walls, so that the traveller could decide if and when to follow it. Inside the labyrinth there are eight archetypical spaces to go past. The center can be reached in 5 hours following the path, or less if not following it. The possibility of decision symbolically and physically represents the traveller choices.
